范冰冰在《我不是潘金蓮》中洗盡鉛華演村姑，上月讓她拿下第64屆西班牙聖賽巴斯蒂安國際影展影后，此次也首度入圍金馬影后。她２日凌晨在微博Po文：「剛落地巴黎，開機，收到這個好消息，入圍已是最好的禮物！」2007年曾以《心中有鬼》獲金馬最佳女配角的她，感嘆時間過得好快，不改「范爺」的霸氣說：「九年了，有意思！」
為呈現女主角「李雪蓮」的樸素，范冰冰不僅全程素顏上陣，還將皮膚畫得更為黑黃，她曾嘗試以村婦裝扮融入鄉下市場，滿意地說：「待一天也沒任何人能認得出來。」與范熱戀中的李晨也在該片客串警察一角，他說電影日前在多倫多首映，片中他向范喊了一聲「大姊」，意外引發台下爆笑。他透露，拍片時范的裝扮連粉絲都認不出，竟有人問范說：「看見范冰冰了嗎？她在哪拍戲？」范則調皮回說「她在前面」，那人就這樣與她擦身而過。
